Meet District 6990 Governor
Barbara Gobbi
Barbara Gobbi is the current Governor for Rotary District 6990 in 2023-24.
She has been a Rotarian since 2011 and is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale Cypress Creek.
Previously she served her local district in the following roles:
- District Communications Chair: 2018-2021
- District Webmaster: 2017-2021
- District Public Image Chair: 2016-2021
Professionally, Barbara has spent the past 30 years in the marketing industry and currently owns a marketing consulting agency helping small business owners with strategic planning and marketing.
Barbara and her husband Victor have 4 children; Luna, Delaney, Jack and Zoe. After their son, Jack, was diagnosed with Autism, Barbara became an autism advocate and founded Shine on Autism, a resource community for parents of children on the autism spectrum.
Barbara is a member of the Paul Harris Society, a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Sustaining Member, and a Rotary Benefactor.
Her mission as Governor for 2023-24 is to foster peace within our communities, and to focus on the growing mental health crisis.
