Public Image – Year in Review 2024

Below is a recap of a few of the projects that the District’s Public Image Committee has undertaken this year, along with links to where you can find all of the newly created resources. Please feel free to forward this email to other members within your club.

1. Rotary Branded Templates

To provide your club with something that makes it easy to create professional, perfectly branded posts for your club’s social media profiles in just a few clicks, I created a brand kit.

Because many of our members do not have a graphic design background, I made these templates in PPT which is easy for anyone with a computer to edit.

You can now view, download and edit these templates here: https://rotary6990.org/pi-resources/branded-social-media-templates/

After you save the templates to your computer, simply click on the social media platform that you wish to create a post for, drop your image into the template, save it as an image & then publish your new professional, perfectly branded post to your club’s social media profile.

2. Business Leaders Spotlight

Are you a seasoned professional with insights to share? The next project that I completed was made specifically for you. We being the district, your club, your community want you to share your vocational knowledge with everyone. Do you want to know the best way to do this? Click here: https://youtu.be/mVL8CFOqhG0?si=1n_gxlnnC4b9gNoL&t=802

When you are ready to publish your professional knowledge to the district website, click here to download the template and see how you can use ChatGPT to easily fill in the template with your key business information and professional knowledge: https://rotary6990.org/pi-resources/vocational-how-to-guides/

If you would like for me to visit your club to provide this micro-workshop in person, please do not hesitate to reach out via LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/adisoozin/

3. Building a Strong Public Image Team: A Simple 4-Phase Strategy

After working with multiple Fortune 500 companies & startups throughout Europe and the US, I have noticed one consistent trend in those organizations where a strong public image team was present. In the first ten minutes of this very short workshop I break down the simple 4 phase process that you can use today to build a strong public image team at your club: https://youtu.be/mVL8CFOqhG0?si=j11dnhOkoi4VZ_s2

If you would like to join the Public Image Committee we would love to have you.

Additionally, if you know any high school & college aged students who would like to gain professional working knowledge to build their resumes, we would love to have them join us as well. All trainings & professional mentorship will be provided to help them fully learn whichever role they decide to take on.

4. The New District Website

When I asked Barbara Gobbi what her two biggest goals would be for the Public Image Committee this year, she said that her first priority was for the website to be transformed into a valuable resource portal for the clubs in our district.

This robust rebuild took nearly two months as we looked at countless sources of data to guide our decisions on which resources to add and where. In an attempt to find the balance between simplicity and volume we now have a public image resource portal, an A-List packed podcast & four hyper-segmented contact forms all now included on the new district website, in addition to many other informational resources.

If you would like to see a certain resource added to the site, please feel free to fill in this form: https://rotary6990.org/pi-resources/share-your-ideas/

5. Executives in Philanthropy

Next, to support our wonderful business executives, I created a new podcast “Executives in Philanthropy”. Building on what I learned through the successes and failures of running an international show that now airs in 36 countries, I launched our District’s podcast this winter. You can see the latest episodes here: https://rotary6990.org/show/

As many of you already know, it is best practice for business leaders to appear on one show per month. When you are ready to appear on this one, apply here: https://rotary6990.org/pi-resources/#podcast

6. Member-Made Social Media Content

Are you having a hard time coming up with content for your social media accounts? The answer is in your members phones. In this workshop I take a moment to show you how you can easily start collecting amazing social media content from your members starting today https://youtu.be/mVL8CFOqhG0?si=j11dnhOkoi4VZ_s2&t=686, to see what our form looks like on the district website, click here: https://rotary6990.org/pi-resources/social-media/

7. Instagram Posts

The most recent project has been a revamping of our district Instagram. We are looking for quotes from Rotarians in this district to add to our instagram page. You can see what this looks like here: https://www.instagram.com/rotarydistrict6990

Additionally, if you would like copies of any of these images to share to your own instagram, please do not hesitate to reach out via LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/adisoozin/

8. Service Project Showcase

Remember how I told you that I asked Barbara Gobbi what her two biggest goals would be for the Public Image Committee this year? Do you know what her second goal was? We are working on it now. She said that her second priority would be for the clubs in our district to have a strong platform on which to showcase their two biggest projects each year. To meet this next goal, we’ve poured in a ton of SEO work behind the scenes and are now ready for you. When you want your project added to the showcase, fill in the following form: https://rotary6990.org/about/project-showcase/

After you fill in this form, we create a beautiful project showcase page that features your club’s service project success story, videos, photos and links to your club’s social media pages and membership recruitment page.

Adi Soozin is a 3rd generation Rotarian and the Public Image Chair for District 6990.

She has a Bachelor's Degree in Medicinal & Biological Chemistry from PBAU & an MBA from IE Business School. She started her career with a guerrilla marketing company in 2009. It was here that she first learned about the fast paced world of marketing when she worked with her boss on projects for Porsche, Whole Foods, Target & Disney.

After this, she was selected to manage Apple sales on a NATO base in northern Italy. She doubled sales within 12 months, which is why her boss documented her strategies and had them replicated across all of our locations in Western Europe.

As of now, the fastest she has grown a company is from “idea on paper”, to $108,757,750 in sales in less than 5 years. By its seventh year, this company closed more than a quarter billion in sales. This is why her strategies and playbooks are used by 1000s of marketers & agencies across 59 countries via Molo9.com
